For employers, disputes amongst employees can be hugely damaging for their company. If it isn’t resolved quickly, workplace disputes have a nasty habit of drawing in more and more employees. This is detrimental to morale, productivity and profitability of a workplace.
HR processes are very effective in many scenarios, but they can often feel one of the parties to a dispute aggrieved at the outcome imposed upon them. This often means that the resentment from a workplace dispute often outlasts the initial HR intervention.
Mediation provides a long-lasting solution because the people involved in the dispute reach an agreement between themselves, with the help of our workplace mediator. They are given the opportunity to explain how they’ve been affected by the dispute, and also to hear the other party’s viewpoint also.
Because they agree the terms of a solution between themselves they are more likely to find a mediated solution something they can accept and abide by going forwards. This greatly reduces the likelihood of the same dispute rearing its head on multiple occasions.
Mediation is a lot more flexible than the more regimented HR and legal solutions. So long as the employer can accept the agreed terms between employees, they have the space and opportunity to consider anything that might resolve the source of the conflict.
Our mediation fee is usually paid by the employer. We operate in 4 hour sessions, at a cost of £495 + VAT. Employers often book two sessions on the same day to allow the employees a full day to work through the dispute and find a solution.
Property owners can be beset by a wide range of disputes - tenants, neighbours, local authorities, developers etc. can all bring about potential disputes. Such disputes will
often affect either the income generated from a property or the potential for the property to be used as the owner requires.
Mediation provides a fast route to reaching a solution without the owner being caught in a lengthy and frustrating leg or regulatory process.
